PRIMAL FEAR: 'We're Still Overwhelmed By Every Crowd's Fantastic Response!'
May 4, 2008German power metallers PRIMAL FEAR have issued the following update:
"Well, we're finally back home from the '10 Years Of Metal Tour', exhausted and very satisfied.
"After two days of practising with the new lineup, we played nine shows in a row! The tour was a wonderful experience and a worthy operation.
"Let's listen to the words of drummer Randy Black: the best tour, the best lineup and the best fans so far nothing more to say!"
Randy Black: "Magnus Karlsson [new PRIMAL FEAR guitarist] proved that he's not only one of the best rock guitarists, he is a top team player and a great entertainer. Henny [Wolter] and Magnus are the most exciting guitar team we could present in the ten years of PRIMAL FEAR and it was a lot of fun for everybody.
"We're still overwhelmed by every crowd's fantastic response! Of course, there were special highlights, like Berlin was an unexpected cool start with a great crowd! Stefan [Leibing, former PRIMAL FEAR guitarist] and Klaus [Sperling, former PRIMAL FEAR drummer] joined us on stage in Reichenbach!
"We met a lot of longtime Metal Commando friends from Japan, France, Slovenia, Netherlands, UK, and, of course, Germany, Bodo and the Bikeschmiede team!
"Bruchsal was a like sauna and the fans in Bochum rocked like hell.
"After years, we came back to the mighty Z7 in Pratteln and played a wonderful show together with our friends of JON OLIVA'S PAIN.
"The Biebob in Belgium was sold out with an unbelievable crazy audience that reminded us we're playing in Brazil!
"In most of the venues, we've played four encores and close to 120 minutes.
"Thanks to all our fans, friends and supporters for showing up and celebrating with us!
"On Saturday, we will start our festival season in the Czech Republic and so far we have a great bunch of 14 more shows lined up in wonderful places and festivals. See you there!"
PRIMAL FEAR's new album, "New Religion", last year landed on the Swedish chart at No. 67. It also entered the German chart at No. 60. "[This is] the [PRIMAL FEAR's] highest chart entry since 'Black Sun' in 2002," according to the band.
"New Religion" was released in the U.S. on January 29 via Locomotive/Ryko. Guest musicians on the album include Kai Hansen (GAMMA RAY, ex-HELLOWEEN) and Simone Simons (EPICA).
